Bi-Lingual Clinical Therapist

Behavioral Health Position Available

10 - 15 hrs a week

 

Location: Willimantic/Behavioral Health

 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in social science field, and experience working with vulnerable families. Bi-lingual License in marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or social work highly required. Innovative self- starter, strong organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:  Under the direction of the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, the therapist will conduct clinical evaluations and assessments in order to properly diagnosis and provide treatment for patients with psychological needs in an outpatient facility.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conducts individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with accepted American Psychiatric Association guidelines for treatment techniques and therapies.
  2. Develops and coordinates a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting with behavioral health problems.
  3. Provides multi-disciplinary approach to treatment plan, coordinating with medical providers and/ or other behavioral health providers.
  4. Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment program accordingly.
  5. Coordinates care of patient with referring physician or agencies.
  6. Documents therapy, according to established protocols.
  7. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  8. Participates in professional development and maintains required continuing education hours for licensing.
  9. Maintains patient confidentiality and documents case records on all contacts regarding patients.
  10. Performs related work as requested.
